F.A.C.T. - New Brighton Primary School

What is FACT?

F.A.C.T. stands for Families and Community Together, and we are a fun and friendly parent support group based in the little house next to the school on Vaughan Road. We offer a variety of courses, workshops and support groups for all our families and the local community. We meet most Wednesdays so if you fancy a chat, a cuppa and a chance to meet new friends just pop round – the kettle’s always on!

We have a noticeboard in our school’s main office filled with information about FACT and we provide leaflets about our events. Pick one up today!

We hold regular coffee mornings to provide lots of support for our parents and have access to other professionals that we can refer onto. Our main focus is to engage with the harder to reach parents.

We can offer home support, group support, one to one support and school support – to anybody who needs it, whether they are carers, parents or grandparents.

We run various workshops and courses for our parents from baby massage to parenting programmes all of which are mentioned on our noticeboard in the main office area.

Any worries or concerns can be passed on to Karen or Emma verbally or in writing and put in pigeon holes to be discussed within the team.

Your relationship with the hard to reach parents is key so we can provide the relevant support through workshops or courses and even try to encourage them to coffee mornings.

If there are any child concerns, we will discuss what help we can provide at multi-agency meetings.

Meet the team!
